Octave’s chosen charity for 2022 is Expeerience Counts, a mental health charity based in Motherwell. The group offer a peer support service for anyone in North Lanarkshire experiencing or recovering from a mental health problem. Peer support workers have personal experience of mental ill health and are trained and employed to help others. They are supported by the Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH), which has been Scotland’s mental health charity since 1923.
